Smoothies galore

I start every morning with a green smoothie and was getting pretty bored of my usual smoothie. So, one of my maternity projects was to taste test a bunch of new smoothies and figure out how I could pre-make/freeze them. I ended up finding this list of recipes and found them to be the most inline with what I was looking for. After some trial and error, I came up with the right mix of greens, fruit, and liquid and put my mason jars to good use (see below). Each batch makes roughly 24 ounces of smoothie. This serves as my breakfast, so I usually put 12 ounces in each mason jar (so each batch makes 2 smoothies). I managed to make two weeks of smoothies and labeled them all with these reusable chalk labels and tossed them in the freezer. I fully intend on bringing my smoothies with me to the hospital thanks to my Yeti cooler :)
