Home Chef Review

I've wanted to try some of the home meal companies for quite a while and have never got around doing it. I love the idea of not having to grocery shop for dinner, trying new recipes, and making it easier to put together a meal; however, when we tried doing Kitchen Surfing, we found it wasn't quite enough food for Tyler. So, I never really pursued trying other companies until this past week. I had seen a write up about Home Chef, which got some of the highest customer reviews and decided to give it a try. I started with the four meal option and overall, the meals were really tasty, very easy to assemble, and for the most part filling. For two of the meals, I ended up making a side of quinoa and a salad so Tyler felt full. I also thought the price point was pretty reasonable $9.99 per serving considering the ingredients and the fact that it included shipping, not to mention I spent no time having to grocery shop for dinner. My only complaints were the portion size could be a little bigger, lest plastic waste (everything has it's own container - you can recycle, which is good), and they shipped on Mondays and not Tuesdays. Going forward (once we settle in with the girls), I will likely try three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) because we like to do pizza Friday night, have our date night Saturday night, Raffetto's Sunday night, and then I'll plan something for Monday.
Cranberry maple pork chops with turnips and brussel sprouts
Honey glazed salmon with zucchini and tomatoes
 Pineapple chicken tacos
Mongolian beef - everything is packaged together making it easy to just pull everything out you need for dinner.
