So much to be thankful for

We just got back to the city from Thanksgiving at my great aunt's house on Long Island. With my first day back at work on Monday, we decided to stay local and use the time for a "staycation." I woke up early and headed to a workout class and then came home to make mascarpone mashed potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts with pomegranate seeds and balsamic glaze to bring to my aunt's. These mashed potatoes are THE BEST potatoes ever....seriously. We loaded up the car and headed out to Long Island for the afternoon. It was so nice to see all of my cousins and for Logan to get to spend time with everyone. And instead of driving back to the city, we got a hotel room and spent the night, which was the best decision. We were able to have a relaxing night and then managed to get our Christmas tree on our way back to the city.

We are seriously so lucky to have such a wonderful family that we enjoy spending time with and really look forward to seeing each other. And, this Thanksgiving was extra sweeter with Logan. Tyler and I count our lucky stars he is ours and can't imagine life without him. He is so calm and enjoys being around everyone, which makes it so much fun for us to introduce him to our family and friends.
