10 Year Google Anniversary

It's so hard to believe that today marks my 10 year anniversary at Google. In some ways, it seems like just yesterday I was joining the Finance team and in other ways, it feels like I've been here forever. It's a pretty incredible place to work and not because of all the perks, but because of the product innovation and people. I feel especially lucky for the recent role I took on four years ago to join the education product team where we've been able to build products from the ground up for teachers and students. It's been the most rewarding experience out of everything I've done and it really doesn't feel like work, which is something I thought was going to take a lot longer to find. I work with the most incredible people who aren't just colleagues but friends and who are all some of the most hardworking people I know. It's been quite the ride and some of the most challenging work I've done, but it has been by far the most rewarding. Never in a million years did I think I'd be working at one of the top companies in the world let alone in product and engineering. I thank my lucky stars that I responded to an email from a recruiter named Monty 10 years ago and didn't mark it as spam because of the multi-color text and random font styles :)
