We got to head up to Maine for the Fourth, which was such a treat. At 38 weeks pregnant, we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it, but my doctor gave us the go-ahead. So, we eagerly jumped in the car with our hospital bag packed and headed up to Maine. Per usual, we had a full house and had an absolute blast. Here's a photo recap of our long weekend :)
We drove up Thursday and managed to stop off at the outlets on our way up. We had a fun BBQ dinner out and then of course headed to Red's. On Friday, we managed to head to OrangeTheory and did all of our grocery shopping for the weekend and then spent the afternoon walking the beach.
Me with our not so little peanut!
Friday night was taco night so I made our favorite, corn skillet dip for an app, which was a huge hit. i doubled the recipe and it was devoured in a matter of minutes.

The big highlight for the weekend was Red's had Maxwell's strawberry ice cream, which was amazing and only lasted for a few days :)
The gang really wanted lobster rolls, so we headed there for an afternoon snack.

We then headed to Maxwell's Farm for strawberry picking.
Tyler and Michael were in charge of one box and the girls were in charge of the other.

Josh's buddy, Nick, is an artist in Charleston and decided to paint us a lobster mural in our basement. It came out SO AMAZING (see below)!

For Sunday night dinner, I brought up a ton of Raffetto's and made garlic bread, caprese salad and a caesar salad. Super easy and quite tasty.
On Monday, we headed to my aunt and Uncle's place (they weren't there as they were meeting their new grandson in Austin) for a day at the beach.
It was a spectacular day!
We then headed over to the Twolights for an afternoon snack.
The fried clams are my favorite :)
Here's the mural in progress
Our friends, Nick and Emma were in town, so we organized a dinner at Boone's. It was a gorgeous night and we got to eat outside.

On Tuesday, the boys got all of our 10 bikes up and running (except for 2) so we could use them to ride to the fireworks.
We snuck down to 158 to grab brunch before spending the afternoon at home
We grilled at home and enjoyed lobster for the 4th. I found this awesome dress at H&M and of course just had to get it :)
All ready for dinner!
