Yesterday was one of my favorite sporting events of the year....The Kentucky Derby! I love horse racing and have wanted to throw a party for the Derby for literally years; however, I've either been out of town or had some sort of bridal/baby shower. So, the party has been a long time coming. I ordered mason jars from Amazon accompanies by red and white stripe straws. The best part is I "borrowed" the trophy from work...I was walking by the mail room and saw it out of the corner of my eye. I asked the mail lady if I could kindly borrow it for the weekend and she agreed so long as I had it back by 9am Monday as it was being shipped out to a team in MTV. It was the perfect addition to our party! We served all kinds of southern-themed food and had a great time with our friends and family :)
Tyler organized a betting wall to keep things interesting :)
The winners!
