One of my best friends and my Maid of Honor in our wedding, Abby, is running her first marathon on Sunday in Chicago. I am so proud of how hard she has worked and am quite impressed she is running a marathon! I just wish I could be there to cheer her on as she crosses the finish line :(
Since I can't be there, I do plan on following her status throughout the race. For those of you interested in tracking her progress you can visit this website. If that website doesn't work, you can find track her at chicagomarathon.com and by clicking event information, spectator information, then runner tracking. Using this, you can search by name or bib # to check up on a runner or even sign up to receive text alerts when a runner crosses 10K, half, 30K and finish line. Abby's bib# is 22506.
