The Girls 3rd Birthday -- A Masters Themed Party

We had the best time celebrating our girls this weekend and finally got to host a Masters themed party :)

The bounce house was such a hit!

I made a caddy uniform for Tyler :)

Below is everything we served for the party.....

Pimento Cheese Sandwiches

  • Makes 6 sandwiches but can easily be increased (we made 30)

  • Mix all ingredients together

    • 3 cups cheddar cheese - shredded

    • 1 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese - shredded

    • 6 ounces cream cheese - softened

    • 1 4 ounce jar diced pimentos - drained

    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    • salt and pepper - to taste

  • Assemble each sandwich with Wonder white bread. Cut diagonally and wrap in yellow wax paper (I cut each into thirds) and held the sandwich together with a golf toothpick

We made pimento grilled cheese sandwiches the next day and they were delicious!

Egg Salad Sandwiches

  • We 5x this recipe but probably could have done 3-4x.

  • Cook 6 hard-cooked eggs and then dice them.

  • Mix the eggs and the remaining ingredients together:

    • ½ cup diced celery

    • 2½ Tbsp mayonnaise

    • 1 Tbsp vinegar

    • ¼ tsp onion powder

    • ½ tsp salt, or to taste

    • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

    • ⅛ tsp pepper

  • Assemble each sandwich with Wonder white bread. Cut diagonally and wrap in yellow wax paper (I cut each into thirds) and held the sandwich together with a golf toothpick.

Golf "Club" Sandwiches

  • Made turkey and ham sandwiches on a baguette and cut them into pieces

Green Jacket Salad

  • Dressing – mix all ingredients together:

    • 3 Tbsp regular oil - (can substitute olive oil)

    • 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar

    • 2 tsp seasoned salt

    • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • Salad

    • 1 head lettuce, chopped - (or 2 hearts of romaine, chopped)

    • 1 tsp fresh parsley - chopped

    • 1 cup cherry tomatoes - chopped (or 1 large tomato)

    • 1/2 cup green onions - chopped (about 1 bunch)

    • 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

    • 1 cup pita chips - (crumbled)

    • black pepper - (to taste)

Sides

  • Orange "Wedges"

  • Pizza “Slices” (for the kids)

  • Chip “shots”

  • Fruit Par-faits

Drinks

  • Yellow straws and custom Masters cups

  • Owen’s Transfusion with Vodka

  • Arnold Palmers

  • “Watering Hole” for sparkling water and still water

  • Beer and ready to drink cocktail (High noon)

Dessert

Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches

  • Make sugar cookies or snickerdoodle cookies and/or buy them from the store

  • Blend 1 gallon peach ice cream, 1 8 oz peaches frozen, 1/2 cup whipping cream. Spread with a spatula on a baking sheet and freeze for ~3 hours.

  • Using a biscuit cutter the size of your cookie, cut out the ice cream and place between two cookies. Freeze in an airtight container.

Favors

Serve the favors in metal golf baskets.

Sand traps (rice krispie treats)

Chocolate Covered Oreos with Golf Balls

  • Buy silicone cookie mold and the golf ball mold.

  • Buy 3 bags of dark green candy melts and 3 bags of white candy melts from Michaels.

  • Purchase a package of Oreos.

  • To make the golf balls, follow the instructions on the candy melt package to melt the chocolate in a microwave bowl. I used a small cookie scooper and scooped white chocolate into each of the golf ball molds. Once they were all filled, I put them in the freezer for about 1 hour to harden. Once they’ve fully hardened, pop them out of the mold (should be really easy).

  • While the golf balls are freezing, melt the green chocolate. Once melted, I placed about 2 tablespoons of the chocolate in each of the silicone cookie molds.

  • I rolled the sides of each oreo first before placing them into each cookie mold. I did this because the first time I made these, the edges where the filling was didn’t get completely covered.

  • Place the cookie into the mold and press down. Add enough chocolate to cover the top of the oreo completely.

  • Place in the freezer for about 30 mins until the chocolate is fully hardened. Pop each cookie out and place them on a cookie sheet.

  • To add the golf ball, melt a bit more white chocolate and place a dollop on each cookie. Then place the flat side of the golf ball on the cookie and press down. Put the cookie tray back in the fridge for about 15 mins and then put each cookie into a favor bag.

Party Supplies

  • Green plastic tablecloths

  • Yellow and green napkins

  • Green plates

  • Yellow forks

  • Masters food labels (purchased on Etsy, but seller is no longer selling them)
