Tyler and I decided to try and get organized with our Saturday date nights since we have a limited number of nights before the girls come. We have a list of restaurants we've wanted to try and/or ones we want to go back to. We came up with our list and planned out every Saturday until the girls come, which has made our Saturday date nights even more fun. One of the places we wanted to go back to was Root and Bone, which is in the East Village, and serves southern food. We were very hungry and ended up ordering a lot! We started with the biscuits and fried green tomatoes and then shared the friend chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. For dessert, we had the most delicious key lime pie. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted so delicious.
