Organizing galore!

I have been on a huge organizing kick since we've needed to declutter our apartment to get it ready to sell and also for the addition of two little humans. I've been following a few professional organizers for a while and all of their photos are beautiful and inspirational. So, I decided that I better get going and try to tackle some of these projects. I created a list of all the areas I wanted to focus (hall closet, kids' clothes, underneath the sink, lazy susan, food cabinets, and bathroom) on and then took measurements of all the shelves before heading to the Container Store. I used clear plastic storage containers (all different sizes) for our linen closet, clear stackable men's shoe drawers for the kids' clothes, linus pantry bins (all different shapes and sizes) for the kitchen and bathroom, plastic storage baskets for underneath the kitchen sink, and chalkboard labels to clearly label everything. The only thing I didn't buy from the Container Store is these lazy susan baskets. The key is to pull everything out and sort everything into groups as well as learn some techniques on how to properly fold (check out the folding stories from @lifeinjeneral). I am SO HAPPY I took the time to do this...it has made things so much simpler and easier to find/put away things.
This is the aftermath of organizing our closet. When we move, I'll use all the same containers to make an even cleaner more organized look, but figured I'd use what I had now in the meantime.
