We spent the weekend before Halloween in Maine getting the house ready for the winter. Boy was it cold! We bundled up and still managed to get a bunch of walks in before the huge rainstorm on Saturday. I baked pumpkin muffins using my favorite pumpkin loaf recipe and topped them with cream cheese frosting and some Halloween accessories. We had planned to have a low key evening with a good home cooked meal and watch the Red Sox game; however, as I was in the process of roasting the chicken, the power went out! We didn't have power for about 2 hours so we ended up making a fire and ordering in pizza. Right as the pizza arrived, the power came back on - go figure! We did manage to dress Logan and Levi up as Batman and Robin - neither of them were thrilled, but we all enjoyed it!
