Every year, I gather a group up and head over to Maxwell's Farm to go strawberry picking. It's one of my favorite traditions we started and I love making things with freshly picked strawberries, like strawberry and cream biscuits. This year, we opted to "make" fresh strawberry shortcakes for dessert on the 4th....I put make in quotations because all we did was pick the strawberries and bought our favorite biscuits from the Cookie Jar and added a dollop of cool whip to the top.
