One of our favorite spots in Portland is a restaurant called Scales, which is right on one of the piers in the Old Port. It's part of a restaurant group that has the best restaurants in Portland: Fore Street, Street and Company, and Standard Baking Company. On a summer night, you definitely need reservations or you can grab a table at the bar and enjoy some cocktails and oysters. Everything we ordered (except for the mussels - they changed their recipe) was soooo good!
