Snowed in (sort of)

It's been absolutely freezing in NYC....teens and low 20s and then this weekend we got hit with 8 inches of snow. It made it really easy for us to stay in and hang out on our couch all weekend, which was such a nice treat! Friday night we enjoyed pizza at home...we were suppose to go out to dinner with friends, but the couple came down with the flu. Saturday, we managed to make it to our respective workout classes and then came home and relaxed for most of the day. I worked on a quilting project and then we ventured out in the snow to our butcher and the grocery store to make a nice dinner at home with my brother. Sunday, we did a lot of the same....I ran some errands and made it to a spin class and finished the quilt top and Tyler got a bunch of work done. It was a really nice weekend and we both enjoyed just being home :)
On our walk to the butcher
We picked up really good cheese from Murray's Cheeses
I made two kinds of lamb...one was a loin rib rack and I added olive oil, salt, pepper, 3 cloves of minced garlic, and fresh thyme and then baked it for about 18 minutes in total alternating sides.
The butcher prepared these rosemary and garlic lamb chops, which were awesome!
 Everything hit the spot!
One of my New Year's resolutions is to carve out more time for craft projects. So, I decided to make a quilt top with fabric I bought over the holidays. I'm trying to learn a few new techniques and had to buy an attachment to my sewing machine, so I'll have to finish this quilt another weekend :)
