Tyler's 30th Birthday

This week, my dearest hubby turned 30 and we had a few festivities (the big one is in June in Tahoe with a bunch of our friends!). We kicked off birthday week with dinner with my family at a Chinese restaurant in China Town.
This was an attempt at a selfie with our soon-to-be great aunt who is turning 90 in July!
I brought a cake and some fun candles, but the restaurant didn't seem to understand how to put them on the cake. Notice they put the entire box on the cake and didn't place them in order so they spelled Happy Birthday! We were all dying when they brought this out and when Tyler tried to blow the candles over, he blew the entire box and almost lit the tablecloth on fire!
On Tyler's actual birthday, we had my brother over and enjoyed delicious pork chops with homemade applesauce from Five Marys Farm. Tyler opened presents from me....he got all kinds of lobster gear (we're in the process of getting him permits!), including a trip out on a lobster boat to learn from some expert lobstermen. His big present is to go hiking in Acadia National Park, which is something he's been talking about wanting to do for a while. We are compromising and staying in a bed and breakfast and not backpacking and staying in a tent :) I have a fun little weekend in Bar Harbor planned and am looking forward to our getaway.
On Thursday, we flew down to Florida to see my uncle and some of our friends who are staying nearby. We hung out, sat by the pool, enjoyed great dinners....were suppose to catch a Nationals game, but the game was canceled due to weather :( So, we headed to Ron Jon's surf shop in Coco Beach where Tyler re-lived his most favorite childhood trip!

This place was massive!!!
On Sunday, we went for a six mile walk around this nature preserve and saw tons of wildlife including lots of gators!
