Family Reunion in NYC

I'm very behind in posting these days as there has been a lot going on! My dearest mother, uncle, and uncle's partner came to NYC for the weekend. We had a fun-filled weekend of family dinners at Dos Caminos and Almond, got to see our extended family on my mom's side, helped my brother move into his apartment, saw the movie Argo, worked on some craft projects (post to come), and made a few apps for the Super Bowl. It was a jam packed weekend and lots of fun!

My great Aunt Estelle and me....Hard to believe this woman is 86 years old! I hope I look like that when I'm that age :)
We came across a Chevy's built into the movie theater...needless to say, my hubby was very excited!
For the Super Bowl, we headed to our neighbors to watch the game. I made my Taco Dip and tried two new appetizers, which were really easy and delicious! The above app are mini chicken tacos baked in wonton wrappers (much healthier then chips or hardshell tacos). I cooked chicken, shredded it, and then added a fajita marinade. I scoop about 2 tablespoons of chicken into the middle of the wonton wrapper. I then sprinkled cheddar cheese and use a little drop of water to secure the corners of the wonton wrapper. I then baked these for abou 7 minutes at 375 degrees until the wonton wrappers were golden. You could serve these with sour cream/salsa.
These bundles of goodness are Pillsbury crescent rolls stuffed with a piece of apple, a cube of brie, 1 teaspoon of chopped pecans and a drizzle of honey. Wrap these rolls up like presents and bake for about 10 minutes at 375 degrees or until they are golden brown.
