I decided to make salmon using a recipe out of our "Mothers Know Best" cookbook (the cookbook my mom and Tyler's mom made for us for our wedding with all of our favorite recipes...such a great idea!). My mom prepares all kinds of different salmon dishes that are simple to make but extremely flavorful. So, tonight, I made one out of our cookbook :)
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1/2 stick of softened butter
- 6 green onions thinly sliced (3/4 of the way up the stalks)
- 3 large garlic cloves minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Medium size salmon filet (about 1-1.3 lbs)
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix all ingredients together.
- Cut a slit lengthwise on the salmon filet. Spread the butter mixture and place within the flap of the salmon filet. I used the excess butter mixture and spread in on top of the salmon.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the salmon is flaky.
