Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- hot red pepper flakes, to taste
- 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I used 5, but they were huge!)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped basil
- 8 oz mozzarella, shredded
- 4 oz Parmesan, grated
- 1 (5-oz) package garlic croutons
- Preheat over to 350 degrees.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, cover the bottom of the pan with the olive oil, crushed garlic cloves, and chili pepper flakes.
- Place the chicken breasts in the pan.
- Pour 2 cups of marinara sauce over the chicken and coat chicken evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the chicken breasts. Next sprinkle the chopped basil.
- Pour the package of croutons over the dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over dish.
- Bake for approximately 35-60 minutes. I know that seems like a wide range; however, the dish said it only took 35 minutes but ours took 1 hour.
