We hosted our annual Masters golf party this year and served all of our favorites from Augusta! Here was our party from two years ago and we essentially copied everything we did previously.
Updates: One batch makes 6 sandwiches but can easily be increased. Initially, we 5x the recipe as that was a large party, but for a smaller one, we 3X it and that was the perfect amount.
1 Block of cheddar cheese yields 9 cups shredded cheese (3x the batch)
1 block of small jack cheese yields more than enough for 3x
Mix all ingredients together
3 cups cheddar cheese - shredded
1 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese - shredded
6 ounces cream cheese - softened
1 4 ounce jar diced pimentos - drained
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt and pepper - to taste
Assemble each sandwich with Wonder white bread. Cut diagonally and wrap in yellow wax paper (I cut each into thirds
Egg Salad Sandwiches
Previous party: we 5x this recipe but probably could have done 3-4x. For this round, we 3x the egg recipe and didn't include Worcestershire sauce.
Cook 6 hard-cooked eggs and then dice them.
Mix the eggs and the remaining ingredients together:
½ cup diced celery
2½ Tbsp mayonnaise
1 Tbsp vinegar
¼ tsp onion powder
½ tsp salt, or to taste
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
⅛ tsp pepper
Assemble each sandwich with Wonder white bread. Cut diagonally and wrap in yellow wax paper (I cut each into thirds) and held the sandwich together with a golf toothpick.
