Week 12 with the girls was spent celebrating their first 4th of July, which is my FAVORITE holiday! We host the same crew each year and thankfully, they still like coming despite the chaos with three little ones! Having the addition at our house really made a difference as we had more space and the kids had their own rooms, which helped with their sleeping.
To kick off 4th of July week, we rented a boat to help celebrate Josh's 30th birthday. It was SO MUCH fun and something we will now add to the itinerary every year. We rented the boat right from the marina by our house and then boated over to Chebeague Island to have breakfast at the Inn. We sat right out on the porch and had a great breakfast before jumping back in the boat and touring the back side of the islands. We made a quick pit stop to pick up one of Josh's friends and then headed over to Portland Headlight to hang out for a bit. At around 1pm, we had Josh drop us off at the marina so we could make it back for Logan's nap and they continued boating around the harbor.
The rest of the week was spent hanging out at the house, going to the beach, making lots of visits to the Cookie Jar and Scratch Bakery, going bowling and golfing, enjoying lots of fun meals at the house, going out in Portland for dinner, and doing an annual lobster bake. It was such a great week and we had a blast with everyone. On Sunday, half the crew left including Tyler, and then my mother goose arrived to hang out with the kids for the week. It was another awesome 4th of July and we are so thankful everyone likes to come up and hang out with us :)
