Mexico City and Palmetto Bluff

Last week, I headed to Mexico City for work to meet with folks on our edu team as well as the Mexican government. It was a quick trip, but I enjoyed it so much and really enjoyed being in Mexico City. The food is incredible and we enjoyed a delicious meal at Porfirio's Restaurant one night. The food was out of this world and the presentation was amazing! I took a few photos of the presentation :)
The yellow cart was filled with street tacos. Apparently, the yellow cart is a signature style of taco that you can find on the street in Mexico City.
Mexican street corn...my favorite! This was good, but it had a lot of mayo in it. I preferred the recipe I made for my birthday as it had a bit more of a kick and less mayo.
For dessert, we had fried bananas and this little train had dry ice steaming from it!
And we of course had churros! These were out of this world and made me so happy :)
From Mexico City, I flew to Bluffton, SC to meet up with my college girlfriends for a girls weekend in Palmetto Bluff, where my friend Katy's family has a place. We had such a nice time relaxing, eating great meals, and catching up!
On our first morning, we headed to brunch and walked around the Inn at Palmetto Bluff. This was the inside of the cutest little chapel by the inn.
Breakfast burrito for brunch!
I couldn't help but take a picture of the girls taking a selfie :)
We headed into Bluffton for dinner one night and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere at The Cottage.
We headed to Savannah for the day to walk around and grab lunch. It's such a charming city, but unfortunately, it was cold and rainy.
We stopped by Wet Willie's to grab a drink. It was so cold out but for some reason, an ice cold beverage made sense to walk around with!
Jacqui and Kara shared a pair of gloves to keep their drink hand warm!
We stopped by the best candy shop...check out that wall!
Jacqui and I indulged in a warm praline :)
We then headed home early on Sunday in time for the Super Bowl. After having traveled for the week, I just wanted to be home and hang out for the game. I made pigs in a blanket and our favorite turkey chili, which was the best way to wrap up a great weekend!
