An eventful week!

I was really looking forward to this week as it was my first full week in NYC in a while. Most of our department was on a fun offsite and I elected to skip it so I could actually be in the office more than a day...I know, kind of lame, but it was so nice. I managed to have good, home-cooked meals with my hubby (see the delicious pasta below for proof!), got a massage at work (aaa-mazing!), and a fun dinner with Kara and Jacqui.

But the week didn't exactly go according to plan...it ended up being rather nutty when I got a call Thursday afternoon that our Expeditions segment was going live Friday morning and CBS wanted a live demo. I think my blood pressure immediately skyrocketed! I had an early wake-up call at 4:45am and headed straight to the set. We had to figure out a number of things and then it was go time...thankfully, everything worked and the piece came out really nice :) I was so exhausted that by the end of the day my brain was mush and so I left work and enjoyed a gorgeous dinner outside with Tyler to decompress.

Saturday, we lounged around and enjoyed coffee on the couch (my favorite) before I headed out the door to run some errands and go to my friend Carrie's baby shower in Brooklyn. It was nice to see my better halves (minus Kate....we missed you Kate!!!!) and celebrate the mom-to-be. Tyler and I then had an impromptu meet up with Jimmy and Kara, which was such a treat, and we tried a new bar by our place. It was an early night for me as I had to get up at the crack of dawn this morning to head out on a quick work trip.
I love the classroom segment...it's amazing how virtual reality can take a lesson to another level!
We tried a new pasta from Raffetto's - Lemon pasta with pesto and chicken. Seriously delicious!
