Valentine's Day 2015

Valentine's Day is always so much fun....I make homemade cards for friends, coworkers, family, and my dearest hubby. This year, I went for cheesy humor instead of pretty and made 70 cards! Thankfully, I had started collecting supplies a few weeks ago as my travel and work schedule have been nuts and I managed to get all of them done and mailed just in time :)
Coworker cards...how funny are these? I literally laughed and laughed while I assembled these :)

The card on the left is for friends and the card on the right is for my cute hubby :)
For Valentine's Day dinner, we are having Kara and Jimmy over before we head out to celebrate a friend's birthday. How cute are those napkin rings?! My mom made them for me for Christmas from my grandmother's brooches. We both LOVED my grandmother's costume brooches and couldn't part with them. So, my mom came up with this incredible idea and made them for Christmas :)
With the weather being in the single digits, I decided to make our favorite turkey chili and cornbread. For appetizers, I made mini heart shaped caprese salad and cheese and crackers.
And for dessert, I attempted to make little ice cream bites. I layered chocolate ice cream, crushed oreos, and cookies and cream ice cream on top. I then took a heart shape cookie cutter to cut the ice cream bites out to serve. They were delicious, but melted quickly and lost their form, hence why I don't have a picture of them :(
