Having been out of town for the long weekend, I didn't get a chance to do my normal grocery shopping and meal planning for the week. So, I had to quickly scramble to figure out what I was making on my way home from work Tuesday night. I ended up deciding to make salmon and wanted to try a new technique of baking it in foil and drizzling honey on top. Let me tell you...this was seriously delicious and took two seconds to prepare...my kind of weekday meal! I served the salmon with our other new favorite dish, Farro with Proscuitto and instead used peas rather than asparagus. Both dishes took a max of 30 minutes from start to finish and were quite delicious and husband approved!
Honey Baked Salmon
Ingredients
Honey Baked Salmon
Ingredients
- Salmon filet
- Honey
- Garlic powder
- Sage
- Foil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cut a big piece of foil and place salmon in the middle of the foil. Drizzle honey all over salmon and then sprinkle with garlic powder and sage. I sprinkled just enough so the salmon was covered.
- Wrap salmon so it's completely covered and place in the oven for 20 minutes. Bake until the salmon is completely cooked. (Note: If your salmon takes longer than 20 minutes to fully bake, you can turn your oven to broil and cook the salmon for about 5 minutes or until done. I had to do this since we were hungry!)
