Date Nights

One of the things I love most about living in NYC is that I can make plans with my college girlfriends after work :) We all love to go out and try new restaurants, so we've decided to make it a point to go out to a nice dinner at least one time per month. Last month, we headed to Yerba Buena, which has Latin American and Spanish food. The food and cocktails were so delicious and I highly recommend going there. The avocado, watermelon, and heart of palm french fries are a mush try as well as the Tilapia tacos. This month, we headed to Schiller's on the Eastside, and dinned on traditional American cuisine. As many of you know, I'm a sucker for mac and cheese and of course ordered it for dinner. It was a really fun environment and definitely a good time. Supposedly Schiller's is also really good for brunch. Thanks Jacqui, Kara, and Lizzy for yet another fun girl's night out!

Friday, I had the pleasure of having a date night with my hubby! It's always hard during the week to spend time together. We are usually really tired and have work to do at night. So, we decided to have a little date night to kick off our weekend. We both read the book "The Help" and wanted to see the movie. It was a perfect night to head to the movies since it was absolutely pouring rain...gross! The movie was great and so much like the book...I highly recommend both! We then headed to Mel's Burger Bar, which we've been dying to try. It's 1 block from our apartment and has all kinds of burgers and shakes to choose from. I'm sure this will definitely become a local hangout for us :)
