We hosted Christmas for the first time this year and had a great time. It was a bit chaotic with three little kids, but so much fun having everyone over. We decided to make both a honey glazed ham as well as a beef tenderloin for our main dish and both were excellent. It was our first time cooking the beef tenderloin, but we followed a recipe from one of my favorite bloggers (see below) and it came out great. The mushroom cream sauce was surprisingly good, and the recipe is definitely a keeper. And for sides, we mad mac and cheese, which was requested by Tyler's brother, mascarpone mashed potatoes (the best mashed potatoes), a roasted carrots dish, and butternut squash and brussels sprouts. And for dessert, Tyler's mom made delicious pies. It was really nice having everyone over and spending Christmas together.
