We bought a Traeger!

Over Memorial Day, Tyler purchased a Trager and was so, so excited! We've enjoyed all of the food Tyler's dad has cooked over the years with his Trager and decided to pull the trigger and buy our own for Maine. It has been so awesome to have in Maine and especially great for large groups of people, which we frequently have. For our first meal over the 4th, we made chicken quarters and to accompany it, I made a cold pesto pasta salad with mini mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes and then we grilled up a bunch of onions and zucchini.

Recommended Pellets: Apple, Cherry, Pecan

BBQ Chicken Quarters

  1. Wash the chicken under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Oil each chicken quarter, then season with the poultry season.

  4. Arrange the chicken quarters on the grill grate, skin-side up. Roast for 1-1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reads 165 degrees).
