3 countries in 4 days

I was in Europe last week for a few partner meetings and events....it was quite a whirlwind, but I enjoyed it very much. Here's a recap in photos:
My first meeting was at St. James Palace right off the red eye Monday morning. I thankfully got to check into my hotel and dress in my required "smart attire" before heading to my 10am meeting at the palace....Nothing like having 3 minutes to spare!

Following the 10am meeting, I had a lunch meeting at Buckingham Palace and got to walk through the entrance, which was pretty neat :)
Whenever in London, I always manage to go out for Indian food (I usually venture to Chor Bizarre) and this time I tried Veeraswamy, which is considered the oldest Indian restaurant in London. It was good, but Chor Bizarre is definitely better.
On Wednesday morning, I flew on a flight at 6:30am to head to Madrid to speak on a panel for the EVPA conference. The EVPA is a group of financial, philanthropic, and venture firms that focus on social impact work. I spoke on a panel to discuss the education ecosystem and how venture philanthropy can play a role in solving education issues.
While I was exhausted after a long day, I couldn't not venture out and explore Madrid for a bit. The panel wrapped up around 6 and I headed back to my hotel to crank out some work. At 9pm I decided to head out and treat myself to churros con chocolate from the place to get churros...San Gines.
These churros were to die for and just melted in your mouth!
I then headed to the Plaza Mayor to walk around and this was the Christmas tree in the plaza.
I loved the hanging lights from the top of the Plaza...it was really beautiful!
They were setting up Christmas shops around the perimeter of the plaza and seem to also have a carousel. Nothing was open, but it was still fun to see all of the decorations.
I then had another early flight at 7am from Madrid to Paris. I was operating on ~4 hours of sleep again and decided that I "deserved" another round of churros for breakfast and they definitely didn't disappoint, especially that early in the morning!
My last event was in Paris at COP21 where we used Expeditions to demonstrate the impact of climate change on coral reefs around the world. It was really powerful to be able to take the audience "diving" to see the destruction of the reefs and was incredibly compelling.
Following the panel, I headed with some colleagues into Paris to have dinner. Of course I had to order French Onion soup :) It was a nutty week, but really great!
